Introduction to Manuka Honey

For almost 3000 years, honey has been used by humans for medicinal purposes. The Ancient Egyptians and Greeks used it to treat a variety of ailments through the topical application -salves, ointments, and potions were made to heal the sick and patch the wounded. Today, honey continues to be a part of many health products and medicine. Research confirms that honey possesses natural antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. However, not all types of honey are the same. Some maintain more healing agents than others. Manuka honey is one type that has a high antibacterial potency.

Manuka honey is very unique. This dark amber-colored honey has a woody smell with a hint of caramel flavor. It gets made from bees that gather nectar from the Manuka bush – commonly known as the New Zealand Tea tree and scientifically named as Leptospermum scoparium. It is a honey native only to New Zealand and parts of southeast Australia where the Manuka bush are found.

Our Client Reviews

Yes, you can post the comment on your website. My husband swears by this product. He has tried so many things in the past. This is the first time that he has been able to breathe through his nose. He has also stopped sneezing. He would sneeze 10-11 times in a row & be continually blowing his nose. He also had a difficult time sleeping because he would have to breathe through his mouth. What an amazing product! I feel better knowing that he is not suffering any longer.
